Since New Year is very popular with 'lists', 'resolutions', 'goals', and many more.. I decided to make a post about it. And if you like me, who likes to write like everything done on paper (yes, i prefer books or notes rather than wrote it on my smartphone), you better read and spread this articles to your friends, cause you will NEED it!
The reason why i chose paper rather than smartphone is...
i am such an old soul, i liked to write and track everything done, i love to re-read it all over again, and i love to see any process and every tiny doodle or any popped ideas that i wrote down, and 1 more.. after i finished it, it become a book full of memory. no matter how advanced the technologies in my smartphone were, i'll always carry a small notebook and a pen inside my bag, because that's who i am, a mom who wrote. LOL
Your old resolution might be jump out of track, your healthy diet, your sports program, your finance planner all might be just fell down to the valley, But.. I'm telling you, we can fix it this year!!
Okay, so... here a few tips from me to make your new year resolution DO come true, and you will feel happy to see your achievements!
1. START SMALL
Writing your goals is a fun exercise for your brain and keeping track of your goal is a great things too! Stop writing your big goals. It doesn't mean you lost focus about your goals, it means you have to start by small things, start plan. Have you ever heard about 'every great thing start with a small list' ?? Well, that's what i'm talking about!
Dream BIG is great and you should. But, when we don't start small, we'll think that our dream is faaarrr away and sometimes we can lose hope.
For an example, you can start small things that you can achieve :
- read more, less phone.
- wake up every 5AM
- less online shopping, save more.
- exercise at least 10 mins in a day
- change dinner with greek yoghurt.
- etc.
I mean, keep the BIG DREAMS on your head but make your written resolutions more realistic and more suitable to you. No one knows you but yourself.
2. CREATE A HEALTHY HABITS
I mean, no one could be successful if she doesn't discipline herself. Success is earned, not given. You can creating a healthy habits by starting wake up early in the morning, or become more organized in keeping tracks and writing down your plan everyday.
Exercise regularly. Smile more often. Be kind, always.
3. KEEP YOUR TRACK NEVER OUT OF SIGHT
When i wrote down my list, i make sure every night before i go to bed, i'll track down every plans and schedules that i have done, and also plans or resolutions which didn't.
Track every dismiss, every opportunity, everything that inspired you, or made you broken and learn from your mistake. It's not a shame to admit our downfalls, it's an EVALUATION so we could get better and be prepared for tomorrow!
3. ENRICH YOURSELF
Read more books and news to enrich yourself rather than scrolling down on an artist's instagram or an entertainment news. You are what you read, and your role models determine who you would end up to be. Make sure you choose the right role model. Because your future is what you decide. Your success is in your own hands, not the other's business.
4. PRAY BEFORE YOU START YOUR DAY
I believe that early in the morning is the most proper time to talk to our creator, God.
Do not forget to pray every morning, to start each day with His will and His presence. This makes me more peaceful and calm during the day. I spent around 30-45 minutes to pray and read my bible, it makes my life so much peaceful knowing that He's there for me no matter what the situation i have.
5. KEEP THANKFUL & RADIATE POSITIVITY
I believe the best people are those who feel grateful and being optimist every single day.
By thankfulness, we learn that sometimes happiness lies not in a perfect place, things, or days. It is when you are thankful, grateful and keep telling yourself that everything is enough.
You are the only one who can limit yourself.
"Don't let anyone or anything decide your mood today. Keep Thankful, ALWAYS."
By keeping our positive attitude, we don't allow any negative vibes to enter our life, and suddenly life become more simple and peaceful.
Stay away from toxic people. It doesn't matter if your social life shrinks, because when you entering the mid 25s, IT WILL. And losing friends is a part of life too, so don't worry.
God will send you many friends who will have the same vision as you, the same value as you too.
6. NEVER KEEP YOUR HEAD UP HIGH. BE KIND, ALWAYS.
Always look down. Look what's around you, you are blessed more than you ever know.
We are here for a reason. It is to be a blessing, either for the world, family or your surroundings, each one of us has a purpose.
Always be kind to others who might need help, advice, or anything. Be God's little helping elves. You will find your life is much more useful when you use it to help people, and nothing could beat the feeling and happiness you will receive knowing that you are precious in their eyes, and ofcourse, God's eyes.
Okay, those are things that i keep telling myself to do each time i woke up and pray.
i believe success will follow those who are kind, keep thankful, discipline and follow God's words. Same goes to every religion because i believe every religion teach us to be kind to others :)
The lists still goes on but i'm gonne write it in the upcoming posts!
Can't wait to share it all with you, hope you guys find this post is useful.
